Project Overview
Stewart Commercials, based in Antrim, Northern Ireland, approached New Paradigm Consulting for assistance in Sept 2015.
In order to successfully tender for lucrative public sector contracts, they needed ISO 9001 certification for their Vehicle Service and Repair Organisation (Stewart Commercials) and their Refuse Body Manufacturing sister company (MacPac Refuse Bodies).
Given that the same management team would be managing both organisations, New Paradigm Consulting immediately began the process of developing a single streamlined quality management system that would cover the processes of both organisations, but still allow both organisations to meet the requirements of ISO 9001 separately.
The management team were particularly pleased that we used their existing policies and procedures as the basis of the new Quality Management System, this gave the management team the confidence to run with the newly developed system and fully integrate it within the day to day running of both businesses.
By early November 2015, both organisations had passed their stage 2 certification audit. This is a great result for Nicola, Drew, Jason and the rest of the team as they managed to achieve certification in a very quick time period after receiving their training in October. 5 weeks from go live to full certification is a fantastic achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication shown by the team.
