Blackstaff Architects, an award winning architectural and interior design practice, located in Belfast, approached New Paradigm Consulting in early 2014. The company realised that in order to tender for lucrative public sector work, they needed to implement a quality and environmental management system that would meet the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 respectively.
New Paradigm Consulting began the project of developing a streamlined integrated quality and environmental management system that would meet the requirements of both ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 in March 2014.By June 2014, all staff received training on the requirements of the newly developed Integrated Management System (IMS). The management team were pleasantly surprised at the level of admin required to manage the system and how much of it they were already doing! This gave the organisation the confidence to run with the newly developed system and fully integrate it within the day to day running of their business.
Blackstaff Architects passed their stage 1 certification audit (Document Review) at the end of August 2014. The company achieved full certification following their stage 2 audit over the 13th and 14th of November.
This is a great result for Jason and the rest of the team, as they managed to achieve certification in a very quick time period after receiving their training in June. 5 months from go live to full certification is a fantastic achievement.
We at New Paradigm Consulting look forward to collaborating with Blackstaff Architects again in the future and hope that they keep on reaping the benefits of their new system!
